I have an extensively practical background with 15 years of experience from post-conflict and developing countries. The most recent six years working independently, dividing my time between Africa and Europe. I carry out various larger and longer assignments on freelance basis in Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, Uganda and Denmark. Typically, training of journalists, community and citizen reporters and activists, assessments for projects, project management, coaching of media workers; and development of conference or workshop concepts. Most often on perspectives related to Africa.

In between, I write journalistic articles and photograph. Typically on issues related to Africa, politics, culture, society, history and art.

My work experience includes moving to Serbia in 2000 to establish the 'Next Stop Serbia'​ campaign aiming at breaking down stereotypes between Serbs and Danes, promoting civic action and creativity by making people collaborate collectively based on shared personal interests. Moreover, experience from the establishment of the South Eastern European Youth Network, linking youth across borders, across former conflicts.

From 2005 to 2007, living in Northern Uganda, working with capacity building and civic education with South Sudanese refugees along and across the border to South Sudan; From 2007 to 2010 working as information officer for an international NGO in Dar es Salaam. From 2010 to 2011 working with Danish civil society in development (CISU) in Denmark as communication officer.

In 2016, I completed a Master in African Studies at University of Copenhagen.
